Provides analytical and program support and guidance to engineers on a variety of tasks. Plans and executes experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical/analytical data. Analyzes, maintains, compiles, and formats data and design changes. Produces reports and engineering documentation. Acts as the communication liaison flowing overall objectives and tracking and monitoring progress between Engineering, Value Stream Office, etc. to ensure the teams meet schedule requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide support for Program Chief and Integrated Product Team (IPT) level activities and tasks.
- Responsible for knowing correct processes, procedures, etc. to ensure the Navy Pursuit programs are compliant and adhering to the Statement Of Work.
- Act as the primary program bid lead coordinator to ensure bids are set up and executed according to the process defined by the Collins Management System.
- Assist program bid leads with day-to-day activities including metrics analysis.
- Drive bid risks & opportunities discussions and actions.
- Support and offload engineering leads with operational aspects of the program execution.
Potential Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Requires the ability to be tenacious to get the answers needed to make decisions.
- Successful candidate will be able to handle multiple engineering tasks and issues.
- Demonstrates the ability to provide a logical, in-depth analysis of a problem or situation.
- Must possess the ability to coordinate and lead activities. Interfaces with Technicians, Engineers, Operations Project specialists (OPS), Value Stream Leaders (VSL) Engineering Managers, and Technical Project Chiefs to create/edit documentation.
- Ensures that information has been received and accurately understood by all parties.
- Ensures that all details of a project are accurate and organized.
- Displays energy, persistence, and a positive attitude when working on most projects.
- Bases decisions on factual information and considers alternative courses of action before reaching decisions.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with people across multiple organizations. Provides tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools. Generates reports as required.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in the absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with US Navy programs/systems
- Currently has transferrable Top Secret with full-scope polygraph
- Microsoft O365(Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Experience leading engineering tasks
- Understanding of Collins Aerospace ACE structure and Collins Management System (CMS)
