Primary Responsibilities:
- Work on multiple projects to assist in the technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluating alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.
- Perform analyses at all levels of total system product including: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Conduct engineering processes using standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
- Synthesize analyses of data and use the results to prepare technical reports of findings and recommendations.
- Seek to identify possible problems presented in applicable projects that may cause a delay or exceed budget.
- Contribute to finding appropriate solutions.
- Manage configuration process, performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Perform architectural exploration. Decompose customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and generate verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and at least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or a related role in the development, verification and certification of Flight Deck Avionics Systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with Human Factors related to ARP4754 and AC 25.1302
- At least 2 years of experience with capturing requirements in a requirements management tool, such as DOORs or JAMA
- At least 2 years of experience working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- At least 1 year of experience with Human Machine Interface.
