Job Summary:
Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control, diagnostic, and power & thermal management systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of development, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.
As CDS is a multi-disciplined organization, this pipeline posting covers several technical areas and varying scopes of responsibilities.
These positions are based at the P&W Puerto Rico facilities as both full-time-on-site and hybrid roles.
Key Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include a wide range of exciting and challenging activities which involve the application of fundamental engineering principles in the analysis of engine system operating requirements and the development of engine control, diagnostic & power/thermal management systems.

Candidates should have successfully demonstrated analytical and mathematical modeling skills to solve complex control, diagnostic and/or software system problems and the ability to work at an implementation level.

We are seeking a creative and driven software engineer to develop and implement solutions for testing of aerospace systems.

Travel up to 10%
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
-
2+ years of relevant experience in software development or data analytics or an advance Degree in Engineering.
-
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
-
2 + years experience with Java, C/C++, C#, Python, BASH, GUI development, Linux, or DOORS.
-
Fluent in English (verbal/written)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Strong collaboration & communication skills
-
Familiarity with SCRUM and Agile project management methodologies
-
Hands on experience with Cloud Computing, preferably Amazon Web Services
-
Certified in Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies
-
Experience with GitHub, JIRA or other code management and product management software

Analytical and debugging skills

Experience with the following areas:

Systems engineering

System design and integration skills

Embedded systems

Data analytics/science and machine learning

Product cybersecurity

Experience with aviation application & regulatory standards is a plus
