Key Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engine performance and powerplant engineering related training courses to internal and external customers at the Customer Training Center (CTC) and on-site at customer locations around the world. Main responsibilities include the development and delivery of specific training modules related to Engine Failure Analysis, Engine Design & Repair, Engine Fleet Management (Maintenance Cost Management, Workscope Assessment, Service Bulletin (SB) Management, Engine Removal Forecasting, Fault Isolation, Performance Troubleshooting), Engine Health Monitoring, and EngineWise Data.
Designing courseware in accordance with the P&W CTC Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Process, evaluating course material for content and accuracy, and recording quality escapes to support CORE requirements. The elected candidate will also be responsible for fielding customer requests and directing customers to appropriate P&W support personnel by working with instructors, customers and engineering (aka EagleNet data, programs, CTS, Product Safety) to prioritize and recommend vignettes, animations, VR, eLearning, and webinars.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field of study and 8+ years of related work history in engineering training or leader role or an Advanced degree and 5+ years of related work history in an engineering or trainer or leader capacity.
- Must be computer literate with MS Office tools (Word, EXCEL, & PowerPoint as a minimum).
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in jet engine design, repair, failure analysis and experience in powerplant engineering.
- Have a technical understanding of the function of a gas turbine engine, knowledge of system design, hardware design or investigating failures.
- UNIGRAPH, airline experience, use of EngineWise Data, MAPNET, P&W EHM or other performance software for engine gaspath analysis is a plus. Technical knowledge gained from working with aircraft operators and MRO companies is desirable.
- The desire and ability to work with customers from all cultures is essential.
- Must have the desire and patience to work with adult learners.
- Should be motivated and have a positive personality.
- Prior teaching experience and/or presentation skills is a plus.
The position will require some travel, typically 2 to 3 weeks maximum duration, accounting for up to 20% of their time.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
