Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for talented Electrophysics Engineers to join our Phantom Works team in Kent, WA., or Tukwila, WA.

    This role will support multiple Phantom Works programs. In this role, individuals will perform Radio Frequency (RF) circuit design and Digital Signal Processing (DSP), analysis and test.  The successful candidates will have experience with RF system analyses (link budgets, frequency plans, spur analysis, etc.), discrete RF component selection, FPGAs, RFSoCs, System Verilog/VHDL and the ability to code software/firmware. Additionally, candidates with expertise in analog RF system architecture and/or DSP are highly preferred.

    Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Senior Level Electrophysics Engineers.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Design and analyze novel RF and/or DSP systems to meet operational needs

    • Model and implement algorithm and/or RF system performance

    • Test/verify performance of completed systems/subsystems in the laboratory and in the field

    • Support design, development and optimization of electromagnetic systems and subsystems

    • Utilize analytical modeling and methods to evaluate performance and support verification of requirements

    • Support Systems Engineering in deriving performance requirements and constraints of the platform and architecture

    • Will use a variety of programming languages to support design, analyses, and test (e.g. Verilog/SystemVerilog, C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, Python, etc.)

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

    This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

    • 3+ years of engineering experience in digital, power and/or RF circuit design

    • 3+ years of experience working with programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, Matlab)

    • 3+ years of experience developing firmware for embedded applications (FPGA, etc.)

    • Experience with systems architecture, requirements development and test & verification

    • (Level 4) 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    Typical Education/Experience: 

    (Level 3)

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    (Level 4)

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Summary pay range (experienced, level 3): 104,550 – 141,450

    Summary pay range (senior, level 4): 126,650 – 171,350
