Our Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) group has an exciting career-growth opportunity for an early-career Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware and Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering team. This is an opportunity to join a team supporting the next generation Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems, as well as providing support to existing fielded systems.
Typical duties include:
Evaluate COTS hardware that will meet the system requirements for both new and existing designs
Participate in a small team of hardware engineers working on preliminary and detailed design activities as well as product development
Identifying potential hardware component candidates, participating in device trade studies and selection
Conduct testing activities in the lab in support of Engineering Change Proposals
Support overall product documentation activities
Regularly interface with other disciplines (Configuration Management, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain) in support of product development
This is a Hybrid position: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite; typically three days per week required at the site location.

Basic Requirements:
-Minimum 2 years’ experience designing, evaluating, and testing COTS hardware components such as computer peripherals, monitors, cabling, and serial communication devices.
-Prior experience collaborating and teaming with other engineering disciplines.
-Experience generating technical documentation relating to Configuration Control, Change Management, Trade Studies, Preliminary and Detailed Design artifacts, and presentations.
-Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)
-U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
EDUCATION: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience - or an Advanced Degree in a related field - or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
