The Geared Turbo Fan Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (GTF MRO) network has an opportunity for the Director Delivery Assurance position. This position will lead and manage a significant organization that integrates systems, processes, and culture. Drives resolution of complex cross functional and organizational issues that require significant stakeholder engagement and influencing. Focus on data driven decisions to drive both top and bottom-line performance, Strong process flow, equipment, and process control knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Communication / Risk Assessment - Work with the command center, customer technical support AMO engineering, DAT’s (disassembly, assembly & test) network repair operations, spare parts organization, and customers to ensure all parts are requirements are delivered in a timely manner for engine overhauls. Also, communicate / negotiate delivery plans that satisfy customer needs and meet financial goals.
- Schedule Optimization – Ensure SIOP Process/Results is being communicated and ultimately results in alignment with build plans. Provide input into tiered and regional escalations, repair demand and capacity, DAT demand and capacity to achieve schedule. The schedule should be optimized for several factors; maximized use of business unit capacity, minimized inventory, and on-time fulfillment of customer requirements.
- Capacity / Lead-Time Improvements – Strategically deploy initiatives targeted to address opportunities for capacity and lead-time improvements on material flow, technical data support and business process change. Lead the organization in the implementation of identified opportunities. Ensure alignment with OpX organization and network continuous improvement for continued deployment of process control, business efficiency, and network performance.
- G3 Starts Management – Empower the team to ensure schedules are met through the on-time starting of material. Identify common causes of late starts. Enable/Lead open communication with critical suppliers rs to correct issues as identified.
- Finance – Lead initiatives targeted to ensuring we meet Financial Metrics including but not limited to process efficiency, labor efficiency, repair performance, and variation control.
- Establish and execute war on cost business processes and activities to drive the organization to achieve the original GTF business case.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field and 14 years of Operations Experience; OR an Advanced Degree and 12 years of Operations Experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Operations Management, Business, or applicable field
- Experience leading team of direct reports, preferably cross-functional or General Manager-type role
- Operations experience in manufacturing
- Experience leading a P&L and/or with cost, budget, or project management.
- Strategic Leadership experience
- Forecasting and/or planning experience
- Experience leading self-directed work teams across multiple functional disciplines.
