Job Summary:

An Aerospace Manufacturing company with State-of-the-Art Technology is seeking a weekend Digital Technology generalist to support their manufacturing shop floor.

Amazing opportunity for a Digital Technology Weekend Generalist Position

This is a Weekend shift, Friday -Sunday, 6:00am-6:30pm, At least once a month you will be required to modify your schedule and work a weekend evening shift to support a planned maintenance event.

Key Responsibilities:

Are you someone who loves technology and wants to develop and support a wide range of digital technology solutions for the shop floor?  The weekend Digital Technology generalist will be the onsite “boots on the ground” to gather information on emerging technology issues on the weekend, provide basic support for a wide range of computer hardware and software systems, and assist with the deployment of new software, services, and infrastructure across the campus.

Onsite first-level support for the Digital Technology ecosystem in North Berwick.

Hands-on installation of computer hardware such as PCs, network switches, LAN patch cables, and computer peripherals.  Training will be provided.

Basic onsite troubleshooting of computer systems, working with technicians on the phone.

Coordinate calls with technology experts to support resolving critical outages on the weekend.

Development of new software and/or infrastructure solutions to support the shop floor.

Assist employees with basic Digital Technology questions and issues.

Must be able to lift large network switches and use basic hand tools to install hardware.

Must work onsite in North Berwick, ME on the weekends.  Exact schedule can be negotiated, but Saturday and Sunday is mandatory. 

At least once a month you will be required to modify your schedule and work a weekend evening shift to support a planned maintenance event.

 Basic Qualifications:

Must have completed a related degree with 1 year related experience; or be actively pursuing a related degree with 4 years relevant experience; or 8 years relevant experience”

Must have a High school diploma or GED

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in a technical field is preferred.

Experience with software programming such as Python, Visual Basic, .Net, or similar.

Experience with machine control systems (PLCs, CNC, HMI) is a bonus.

Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools is important.  (excel, access)

Comfortable with basic cell phone assistance/support.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and presentation).  Able to work in a Team Environment.  Must be willing to work as in intermediary with the helpdesk.

Results driven and self-motivated.  Must be comfortable researching issues with vague details.
