Job Summary:
The Deputy Sustainment Business Acquisition manager is primarily responsible for the execution and acquisition integration that works with the business value stream leaders/teams to directly supports the F135 Program by providing strategic guidance in support of all business acquisition proposals. You will be the direct link for the F135 Sustainment program office and integrate with the business acquisition team from initial requirement identification through contract award.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Planning: Develop integration plans and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration into the sustainment proposals.
- Pricing and cost analysis: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and understand financial profitability.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact the proposal’s success and identify mitigating actions. Develop contingency plans and alternative approaches as needed.
- Relationship management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with external parties as well as internal organizations to meet customer requirements and program objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements throughout the business acquisition gated process to achieve timely contract awards.
- Communication: Brief Senior Leadership and secure commitment through the gated process
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Engineering, Business or related field is required
- A minimum of 12+ years’ experience in logistics support, supply, procurement, proposal development, or program/project management is required; or an advanced degree and 10+ years of the same experience.
- 6 years of management or program leadership experience balancing cost, and schedule constraints to meet program deadlines and expectations.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field
- Knowledge of military customers, propulsion system sustainment, and government proposals
- You're adept at managing cross-functional teams and leading cross functional meetings.
- Strong communication and relationship skills, ability to self-start, analyze complex situations and proposals, excellent business judgment and customer focus.
