Job Description:

The Data Recording group within Development Operations performs a wide variety of technical tasks in support of engine instrumentation and test facility readiness for development and production testing. The organization supports structural and advanced measurement data recording systems, sensor installations and calibration. Tasks include consultation with engineering and customer groups to establish requirements, mechanical and electrical installations, troubleshooting and calibration of devices in the test facility or lab, and operation of data acquisition systems during validation testing. The organization supports performance, structural and advanced measurement data recording systems, sensor installations and calibration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position involves a high degree of interaction supporting both test engineering and operations groups requiring effective verbal and written communication skills.

This is a third shift position

This position aligns with many of the tasks of the following military careers. AFSC (Air Force Specialty Codes) 2A0X1, 2A2X1, 2A2X2, 2A3X4, 2A3X5. Navy NOS A200, A210. Marines MOS 6423, 6432, 6433, 6434. Army MOS's 6432, 6433, 6434.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of technician experience or a High School diploma/GED and 8 years of technician experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of instrumentation types and sensor applications in the aerospace industry and experience in other signal acquisition or processing software
  • Current US Government security clearance and passport
  • Experience in sensor wiring, terminations, egress, signal conditioning and data acquisition system operation and troubleshooting 
  • Experience/knowledge with sensor types including but not limited to strain gages, accelerometers, pressure transducers, thermocouples, proximity and blade positioning optical measurement equipment.
  • A good balance between mechanical and electrical aptitude.
