Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney Customer Training Center (CTC) is seeking a Training Developer (ATD) to lead the launch our advanced training methods.   The CTC has executed their strategy to develop innovative processes and tools which impact customers and employees, for both commercial and military engines.   Working closely with the CTC staff, the ATD will develop and execute the tactics to expand the use of these tools, including market analysis, gap assessment, contract development, budget and schedule tracking.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading Pop -Up Training

  • Developing locations and partners. Managing equipment and logistics. Negotiating and executing training service agreements, bailment agreements.

  • Streamlining the process into a repeatable operation.

  • Launching 3D Training methods (EngineExplorer and Virtual Reality). Reviewing the entirety of the CTC training courses. Leading the Curriculum Development team. Developing criteria to keep courses current in content and delivery.

  • Utilizing market research and gap analysis to set priority for curriculum development.

  • Generating new market opportunities including establishing communication and marketing strategy

  • Developing and executing subscription agreements

  • Teaming with Instructional Design and Digital Technology to mature the tool distribution and compliance methods.

  • Foster the ME 3D development initiatives, vendor vetting & proposal submission.

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders such as customers, partners and schools. Collaborate with internal stakeholders such Digital Technology, Global Trade, Legal, Customer Support, Programs, Spares, Quality, Production and Aftermarket Operations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience to include developing adult curriculum, leading cross functional teams and developing market strategy or Advanced Degree and 5 years of experience to include developing adult curriculum, leading cross functional teams and developing market strategy.

  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or MBA

  • Experience as a project engineering / management

  • Experience with contracts, budget management, training

  • Be an innovative, self-starter that thrives on creating their own path.  

  • Be a strong communicator to explain plan, status, and success metrics concisely.

  • Be an active member of Customer Support and CTC influencing the direction of both organizations.

  • Freely share skills, knowledge, and experience with colleagues to meet changing needs of all customers.

  • Utilize CORE, WAVE, and other methods to improve efficiency and aid transformation.

  • Strong knowledge of engine architecture, engine repair and overhaul process

    Familiarity with training methodologies and purposes

    Understanding of PW business, customers, and internal processes

    Experience creating and leading cross functional, matrix teams through influence.

Travel: 10% domestic and international
