Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking a Configuration Manager, providing local configuration management support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community. This position manages configuration of baseline information and configuration management processes with minimal oversight. The position works in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices.

  • This position is an onsite role – Fort Meade, Maryland

Not Relocation Eligible – Relocation assistance not available

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • The Configuration Manager administers CM forums serving as facilitator of Configuration Control boards, Engineering Review boards, Freeze boards etc. coordinating with stakeholders ensuring completeness of inputs and capturing/tracking actions to closure.
  • Facilitate configuration change management for operational baseline configuration items, reviewing, consolidating, and distributing change documentation. 
  • Maintain gold-copy product baseline information for configuration items impacting mission capabilities.
  • This position communicates with many levels of program, other contractor and government stakeholders and works to positively guide parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices.

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Configuration management experience in an operational environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience generating and maintaining configuration management plans and process documentation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • An active and in-scope TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced with Customer NSIS and/or rapid delivery methods.
  • Experience working across contract and location boundaries.
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence beneficial.
