The Configuration Management (CM) organization provides a unique system level vantage point of not just engine architecture, but also of how the major business units across Pratt & Whitney feed data to deliver product. The Configuration Management organization is looking for a highly motivated Configuration Management Analyst willing to learn the intricate details of the Configuration Management Discipline. The Analyst performs a variety of functions including, but not limited to: writing and processing engineering changes, creating and maintaining bills of material, and providing business process consult to other organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our key customers: Design Integration, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs) and the Engine Center to support the activities of the Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and the engineering change process.
  • Support the initiatives of the CM department and Engine Design and System Integration (ED&SI) Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE).
  • Individual driver of process improvement efforts to increase CM efficiency and reduce CM turn-time.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in a related field and 5+ years prior relevant Configuration Management experience, Product Definition, Design, Project Engineering or similar related field, OR An Advanced Degree in a related field and 3+ years prior relevant Configuration Management experience, Product Definition, Design, Project Engineering or similar related field.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CM procedures, the IPD process and the engineering change process.
  • Proficiency in Teamcenter, Business Objects, SAP and Product Definition tools
  • Task leadership abilities.
  • Quality Management Systems experience.
  • High level of attention to detail.
