Job Summary:
Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.
This posting is for a co-op assignment with an opportunity to work in one of several discipline areas within the CDS organization. This is a hybrid (on-site East Hartford, CT/remote) position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Job responsibilities include a wide range of exciting and challenging activities which involve application of fundamental engineering principles in the analysis of engine system operating requirements and the development of engine control, diagnostic & power/thermal management systems.
- Candidates should have successfully demonstrated analytical and mathematical modeling skills to solve complex control, diagnostic and/or software system problems and the ability to work at an implementation level.
Basic Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's degree program in Engineering, Computer or Data Sciences, or a related field
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
