Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Chief Software Architect with an active/current TS/SCI Clearance in Aurora, CO or Dulles, VA. Relocation assistance available provided candidate meets eligibility requirements.

Life with Raytheon Intelligence and Space

In this role, you will join a small, highly-focus team working to develop and maintain signal-processing applications for use in a real-time operational environment. Team members are multi-disciplined and contribute across all phases of systems engineering, software development, integration and test, and metrics. The team works closely with operations personnel to meet unique and continuously evolving development needs.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $20K for a person with an active/current TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired here at Raytheon Intelligence & Space.

 
Required Skills 

  • Experience designing and implementing object-oriented software systems in Java and C++
  • Experience leading and coordinating complex software architecture efforts
  • Experience with real-time signal processing systems (FFTs, Tuning, Modulation/Demodulation)
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a current/active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance

Education/Experience Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant experience and a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) Bachelor’s degree are typically needed for this role. A Master’s degree in a STEM field may be substituted for 2 years of work experience. Non-degreed professionals with demonstrated skills and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Desired Skills

  • Midas-based signal processing frameworks (e.g., X-Midas, Midas2K)
  • Detailed technical analysis and computer simulation / modeling of sophisticated signal processing algorithms using MATLAB or similar tools
  • Experience with software process lifecycle (including Concept of operations, requirements, system design/architecting, development, testing, delivery, and system maintenance)
  • Experience programming in Python

“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $107,000 to $225,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
