We are looking for a Chemical Engineering or Material Science Engineering student to join our team for an exciting 2 year rotational program! Participants in the Engineering Development program rotate through various engineering departments within Collins Wheel and Brake to learn aspects of the manufacturing, test, analysis and customer support of Carbon Brakes. The typical rotational program lasts 18 to 24 months with each rotation assignment lasting 6 months in duration at different sites around the country. The position will begin at our Spokane, Washington site, and will finish at the Troy, Ohio site. For the 2 middle sessions, the identified candidate will work with management to decide between Santa Fe Springs, CA, Pueblo, CO, or to stay a full year in Spokane and choose one of the CA/CO sites for their third rotation. During each rotation, the Engineer will support unique engineering assignments and responsibilities at the different locations. Participants in the Engineering Development Program will off place into an engineering department upon completion of the program. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Position Responsibilities:

Analyzes, research, designs, and develops materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems.

Performs material analyses that include, but are not limited to, failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications.

Applies principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to composite materials and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (Chemical Engineering, Material Science Engineering or relevant field) and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

The salary range for this role is 52,000 USD - 98,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
