WHAT TO EXPECT 

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic engineering manager to join our central Vehicle Cyber Security Chapter. 

 

Cyber Security is a fast paced and dynamic area of the automotive industry.  You will be a critical part of the team, directly supporting the development of our Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared future to ensure we are robust to emerging security threats, as well as supporting legislation and standards such as UNECE.R155 and ISO21434.

 

The team provides Cyber Security expertise and leadership in a range of areas relating to JLR vehicles as well as supporting infrastructure, and forms part of the Digital Product Platform department (DPP) within JLR’s product engineering function.

 

You will be at the forefront of innovation, driving the Product Security Incident Monitoring and Response strategy for JLR’s vehicles (PSIRT / IMR).  

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop the Product Security Incident Monitoring and Response strategy for on-board JLR vehicles
  • Engage with cyber security experts, product owners, and stakeholders across the business to ensure an aligned and robust end-to-end PSIRT strategy for JLR’s vehicles.  Represent on-board product needs, helping drive common solutions with off-board security teams
  • Owning and managing incidents as they occur, including aspects such as event evaluation, vulnerability assessment, risk management and lessons learned
  • Ownership and continuous improvement of processes and tools associated with PSIRT / IMR, ensuring compliance with JLR’s CSMS and ISMS
  • Drive integration of JLR’s PSIRT / IMR function with the supply chain

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Practical experience in Product Cyber Security, including Product Security Incident Response Team / Incident Monitoring and Response (PSIRT / IMR)
  • Understanding of regulated industries and / or safety critical systems
  • Previous line management responsibilities for a team of 5 or more, including experience in recruiting and developing a team
  • Used to working in a structured environment (CSMS, ISMS, QMS etc)
  • Qualification in cyber security, or equivalent experience
