Job Summary:

The West Palm Beach is looking for a 1st shift Cell Leader to support the F135 and auxiliary power unit (APU) Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) product lines. The selected individual will supervise a team of bargaining unit hourly employees who are responsible for supporting engine and APU assembly and test in WPB. In addition, the Cell Leader will be a contributor in meeting all: Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), Customer, Quality, and financial goals within the West Palm Beach (WPB) Product Delivery Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the assembly and test team to support production and quality goals.
  • Collaborate with support teams to establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability, and other top priorities.
  • Proactively generate effective solutions for Quality process control and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Support process implementation and refinement activities throughout all process gates
  • Leadership, communication, problem solving, analytical, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles
  • Ability to plan projects and to use written/verbal/analytical/org skills to influence business objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience in Operations or Quality or HS Diploma or Equivalent (GED) and 9 years of experience in Operations or Quality.
  • Experience operating within a bargaining unit setting.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
  • Operations or Quality experience in the Aerospace industry
  • A&P license or similar military experience.
  • Six Sigma Practitioner or other continuous improvement Professional certifications
