Our battery team is one of the fastest-growing sectors within JLR, focusing on the increasing integration of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) in our product lineup. We are seeking a Commodity Delivery Engineer for our Battery Systems Advanced Concepts & Research Pillar. This role within the Delivery Chapter will be pivotal in implementing delivery solutions to meet component functional targets.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Next-Generation HV Batteries: Collaborate with leading cell suppliers to develop advanced high-voltage batteries.

  • Business Decision Support: Utilize your cell knowledge to influence and drive critical business decisions.

  • Engineering Compliance Reports: Assist in creating and releasing engineering-based evidence reports to demonstrate compliance with legal regulations and attribute requirements.

  • Troubleshooting Support: Provide support for troubleshooting efforts, including AIMS, FMEA, and 8D methodologies.

  • Benchmark Material Consolidation: Support the consolidation and creation of benchmark materials from device to vehicle, enhancing our understanding of competitors and the latest technology landscape.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 

  • Lithium-Ion Cell Expertise: Fundamental understanding of Lithium-Ion cell working principles.

  • Quality Process Knowledge: Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and the EBER processes.

  • Strong IT Skills: Proficiency in various virtual tools, including 3D design software such as 3D Experience.

  • Battery and BEV Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of Lithium-Ion cells and the BEV delivery and battery landscape across the global supply base or other OEM manufacturers, enabling credible and competitive concept development and strategic planning.
