Job Summary:
Our Commodity Sourcing team within Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) at Raytheon has an excellent opportunity for a Category Sourcing Manager to join our Electronics Commodity team. In this role you will lead strategy development & execution, supplier selection, long term contract negotiation, and oversee key strategic supplier relationships specific to the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) category.
The objective of the role is to assess the supply base, understand current requirements as well as forecasts (5-10 yrs) of circuit card assemblies (CCAs), engage with program stakeholders, recognize operational needs, and take proactive action to ensure the commodity meets the requirements of the business. Further, you will work to influence business critical decisions such as capital investments, strategic exits, and supply base consolidation.
This position is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set a schedule.
This position may be based in Tucson, AZ; Dallas, TX; Andover, MA
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Develop and implement commodity strategies, while partnering to meet customer needs. Includes: Savings Opportunities, GMRE assessment, Risk and Opportunity Analysis, Supplier Performance, and Emerging Technologies
Collaborate cross functionally to establish a "Grow, Maintain, Reduce, Exit (GMRE)” supplier strategy with detailed execution plans.
Identify capacity and manufacturing improvements through supplier investment opportunities to position the CCA supply base and Raytheon for additional business opportunities.
Collaborate with engineering product owners to align their technology roadmaps to supplier capabilities and Mission Area product/technology strategies.
Build relationships with supplier counterparts and executives to improve supplier performance and to ensure alignment with our current execution and future business priorities and strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years experience.
Ability to travel 25-40% domestically; some international travel may be required.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly suppliers including manufacturing processes and technologies.
The ability to perform duties with minimal oversight; ability to understand the organization’s goals, set the strategy, and then determine the tactical tasks to achieve success.
Procurement, Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Performance Management, and/or Program Management experience.
Defense Industry Experience and familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements.
Demonstrated ability to influence across a matrix organization.
Strong communication skills.
