Brief Department Description

RTX Global Financial Services/Global Payroll is looking for a full-time Business Applications Analyst to support system enhancement projects and payroll analysis. This role partners with business leaders, process experts and technical teams to perform system research, gather requirements, create project documentation, support testing and implementation. This role will perform project management tasks along with system and/or process analyst functions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads and coordinates projects or operational initiatives on behalf of Global Payroll
  • Assemble cross functional teams to drive critical outcomes.
  • Support Business Services leadership in managing key stakeholder relationships and expectations across the program, leveraging proper communication and risk management techniques.
  • Report project outcomes and risks to the appropriate management channels as needed, escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.
  • Manage all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure for multiple projects of varied complexity.
  • Create project plans, including deliverables, activities, and timelines.
  • Analyze project progress and when necessary, adapt scope timelines and costs to ensure the project team adheres to project requirements.
  • Ensures all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.
  • Lead communication with stakeholders and team members through the completion of the project
  • Presents to functional leadership regarding the status of projects and options to address critical issues, while managing project costs to budget.
  • Develops close working relationships to provide insightful recommendation and guidance to improve the current processes, achieve efficiency and cohesiveness to optimize end to end business processes.
  • Oversees the development of requirements documentation and related technical specifications to address business needs: system implementations or enhancements, regulatory changes, process/policy modifications, technology upgrades, etc.
  • Leads the effort with the project team to develop risk and issue mitigation to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals.
  • Work closely with the technical and functional teams to ensure that we have an accurate understanding of the solution to minimize rework.
  • Follows change control protocols in day-to-day activities.
  • Analyzes business processes, research system questions, performs query writing, and relates to system enhancement needs.
  • Gathers information from multiple sources, evaluates complexity and sizing of project and/or issue and recommends direction.

Required Qualifications

  • Solid experience working with HR, Finance, Timekeeping and/or Payroll data is required.
  • Position requires strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and the ability for query writing
  • Comfortable diving into technical details, supporting problem solving efforts and managing issues with urgency.
  • Agile, innovative, and critical thinker with a good digital foundation and thought leadership.
  • Strong experience with project management tools and structured methodologies
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities.
  • Capacity to effectively manage a project team.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions and proven success communicating effectively to all levels throughout the organization.
  • Ability to show a high degree of initiative; ability to drive change to promote functional productivity and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated effective project management skills to ensure delivery on time, to budget.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ADP, EV5 and/or Workday
  • Experience in leading large scale complex projects globally
  • Minimum 5+ years in project management
  • PMP or equivalent professional project management certification
  • SQL developer or Toad

Experience and Education

  • This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in information technology, accounting, finance, or related field and 8 years to relevant experience OR an advance degree in an applicable field and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree a combination of education, applicable experience and/or certifications in lieu of degree may be considered

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
