Right now, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a bright and energised Functional Team Lead to join our inspired team.

In this role, you will contribute to the critical outcomes of the Australian Defence Force by delivering complex, state-of-the-art programs designed to keep Australia safe.

You will lead an expert team to success by setting the vision, building the plan and using your unique leadership skills to foster a strong and safe team culture that delivers truly innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and provide direction to the day-to-day management, coordination, and delivery of the projects to ensure the achievement of the project safety and technical performance and other milestones within budgets and schedules. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Understand and be able to link platform specific roadmaps to integrated warfighting / networked concepts in order to develop, execute and manage operational test and evaluation outcomes;
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external customers, subcontractors, and suppliers. 
  • Participate in and contribute to the identification and development of program growth opportunities and proposals. 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications 

  • Be acutely familiar with current and emerging Australian Defence Force (ADF) capabilities;
  • Be experienced in contemporary warfare concept development and understands how ADF capabilities need to integrate in order to successfully achieve mission effects;
  • Able to identify capability and interoperability deficiencies, opportunities and vulnerabilities across the multi-domain warfighting spectrum;
  • One thousand hours Fast Jet experience;
  • Fifth Generation platform experience;
  • Recent experience managing the integration or capability development of Air Force systems; and
  • Australian Weapon School Graduate.

The incumbent must hold a current Australian Top Secret Positive Vetting (PV) clearance.
