Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the E-4B Maintenance Support Pre-Planning Team is seeking an Associate Level Maintenance Planning Engineer located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Our team provides modification and sustainment support services in advance of heavy maintenance of the United States Air Force (USAF) fleet of E-4B aircraft.

The Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer for this organization will be part of a team providing sustainment and modification support to the USAF to help maintain and sustain its fleet of Boeing 747 aircraft.  This engineer will evaluate maintenance requirements, research support equipment, parts, materials, and tools to support aircraft maintenance and associated planning activity. 

Additionally, this engineer will identify and plan for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance based on current requirements and historical maintenance activity.  This engineer will work with analysts, supplier management, and other Boeing Functions to plan and find areas of efficiency that contribute to the overall maintenance plan.  Furthermore, this engineer will work closely with the USAF and Government customers to ensure the continued safe operation of the fleet.

Position Responsibilities:

This engineer will also contribute to the following, but not limited to, statement of work:

  • Develop and maintain requirements tracking in support of aircraft heavy maintenance. 
  • Support the development of heavy maintenance work packages and job cards. 
  • Validate aircraft, support equipment, parts, and materials are scheduled and routed per plan. 
  • Reconcile maintenance plans to accommodate both contractor led and customer led maintenance. 
  • Maintain awareness of operational activities and aircraft on the ground maintenance events. 
  • Provide support for operator recovery plans for operational disruptions due to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options (Oklahoma City, OK). This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.).
  • Experience and fluency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build positive relationships, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly.

Typical Education & Experience:

Associate-Level (2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Associate-Level Summary pay range: $68,000 - $92,000
