Job Summary:
The System Concept & Design Technologies Department within the Systems Design and Architecture Directorate is searching for an All Up Round (AUR) Cross Product Team Lead (CPTL) and Section Leader (SL) to join our team. The AUR CPTL will support a program that is a strategic pursuit critical to the future of the RMD business portfolio. The AUR CPTL is responsible for leadership of a large multi-disciplined team that produces the design and analysis of components integrated or interfacing at the AUR level. This includes Core Systems Engineering, Logistics, Configuration Management, Safety, Reliability, and the creation and maintenance of the system MBSE model. The AUR CPTL drives a common vision to the teams to allow coordinated design and development phases. As CPTL, the leader is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical management of the team as well as serving in a functional capacity as the Section Leader for core systems design engineers on the team. Highly skilled technical and personnel leadership at the program leadership level is essential to execute the program, completing Engineering and Manufacturing Development and setting the stage for successful future production contracts. This program role is expected to onsite in Tucson, AZ. The Section Leader portion of the role will be supported in combination with your primary role on the program.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Core Systems Engineering at the AUR level to include design and analysis of components integrated or interfacing at the AUR level

Technical guidance and leadership of subsystem teams working design aspects the need to integrate at the AUR level.

Cost and schedule management at AUR level.
-
Oversight of the creation and maintenance of the system MBSE model at the AUR and integration level.

Provide mentoring, guidance, flowdown, performance feedback, career growth guidance to all team members.
-
Primary technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts, internal senior program management and engineering leadership.

Direct a team of multi-disciplined engineers in support of missile design and development
Basic Qualifications:
-
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of Engineering experience OR an advanced degree in STEM and 10 years of Engineering experience.

Prior experience leading a team in conducting trade studies, missile system development and design, missile systems requirements development and management, and/or missile system integration and test
-
Prior functional leadership role as Section Manager/Section Leader
-
Direct experience managing resources with multi-million-dollar annual budgets
-
A current US Secret Security Clearance
-
Experience leading engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience in leading and executing the design and development of complex system architectures

Demonstrated experience and ability to interact with and influence Department of Defense (DoD), and/or commercial and non-traditional customer sets

Proven ability to develop effective internal and external customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business

Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM discipline
