Job Summary:

Are you an experienced and passionate leader in the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)? Do you have a strong background in driving quality assurance and process excellence? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Associate Director, Quality and Process Engineering - Discipline Chief for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

As the Associate Director, Quality and Process Engineering - Discipline Chief for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance in our NDT operations. You will lead a team of talented NDT professionals and be responsible for driving innovation, process improvement, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the NDT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning. Identify, hire, and develop NDT talents to build a high-performing and motivated team. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain a robust quality assurance system for NDT operations to ensure adherence to industry standards and customer specifications. Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management system (QMS) policies.

Technical Expertise and Innovation:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NDT technologies and industry best practices. Drive innovation in NDT methods and techniques, exploring new approaches to enhance inspection capabilities.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate NDT processes for efficiency and effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions to address any NDT-related issues.

Training and Development:

  • Develop comprehensive training programs for NDT personnel, ensuring they possess the required technical knowledge and skills. Support career development and provide opportunities for professional growth within the NDT discipline.

Collaboration and Customer Focus:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer requirements and ensure NDT services meet or exceed expectations. Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical support to project managers and cross-functional teams.
     

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, or a related field and minimum 12 years experience in NDT, with a deep understanding of various NDT methods (e.g., Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography, Eddy Current Testing, etc.) OR an An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.
  • Proven leadership experience, including team management and talent development.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
     

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to NDT (e.g., ASNT, ASTM, EN ISO).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of driving process improvements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
