Job Summary

This role will focus on supporting outsourcing, lease/contract labor & global engineering center(s) within the Engineering Organization, as well as interacting with suppliers, engineering organizations, procurement, legal and other departments, and stakeholders.  This position helps in implementing PW’s Global Engineering Strategy including outsourcing to ensure fulfillment of P&W and Engineering’s business and financial objectives.  The candidate must be willing to fulfill travel needs to visit supplier(s) and offshore engineering center(s), as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of buyers, MRP controller(s) and digital technology professionals.

  • Manage buyers and MRP controllers for Sure Source (VMS tool) PO placement.  Coordinate with supply chain and procurement internal audit.

  • Manage the Engineering Contract Labor process of onboarding contractors, PO placement, contractors’ profile and liaison between Engineering hiring supervisors and suppliers.

  • Provide oversight on all DT and associated activities including supplier connectivity, data access, eSourcing tools, etc.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure that Engineering and Global Engineering targets are achieved.

  • Support the year-end PO process so that suppliers have timely purchase orders for uninterrupted sourcing support to P&W Engineering.

  • Perform supplier contract (Master Terms Agreement) compliance assessments and support activities for IP protection, GT/ITC controls, Cyber controls, etc. compliance & controls.

  • Support Global Engineering Sourcing leader in executing global engineering footprint including offshore Engineering centers.

  • Support in implementing Engineering Sourcing strategies including low-cost augmentation, suppliers’ productivity improvement, quality execution through CORE/ Performance+ at suppliers, supplier development/rationalization, and supplier governance

  • CORE/Performance+: Candidate need to become CORE Champion within a year and get familiar with CORE framework, tools, etc. and support suppliers on their Performance+ journey working with GES CORE lead.

  • When assigned, manage Engineering suppliers – coordinate weekly/bi-weekly meetings to review supplier engagement and address day to day issues. Drive supplier productivity through automation & process change. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 12+ years of sourcing, supply chain, or procurement experience or 10+ years with an advance degree.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Engineering or supply management is preferred.

  • Understanding of Quality Management System and industry standards such as AS9100 will be added plus

  • Experience with SureSource or similar sourcing/VMS tool is preferred

  • Understanding various Digital technology elements will be added plus. 

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Experienced in utilizing CORE/ACE or other Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies.
