Job Summary:

Customer Technical Service (CTS) is seeking a motivated leader to join its team as Associate Director, CTS GTF MRO. This CTS Project Engineering position supervises and provides leadership to a group of CTS engineers as well as sets direction for CTS hardware engineers supporting GTF MRO Network shops.

  • This position is fast-paced and requires the ability to manage ever changing priorities to align with dynamic MRO schedules and requirements.

  • The rapidly expanding GTF fleet, increasing number of shop visits, and new Network shops coming onboard to overhaul GTF engines, presents unprecedented challenges requiring dedicated and focus support.

  • By alignment of activities across the value stream by managing priorities of technical responses and changes to technical data is key to enabling throughput, reducing turnaround time, and providing engines to our airline customers.

  • This high visibility position requires report outs to executives on a weekly and monthly basis. The position is responsible for both the PW1500G/1900G and PW1100G-JM engine programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead CTS Project Engineering team efforts to identify and track priority technical inquires (ENC’s); Directly supervise a team of CTS engineers.

  • Develop and maintain clear communications working in conjunction with the DAT’s and SAIPT’s to ensure proper priority alignment with all MRO Shops. Present one engineering voice to GTF aftermarket Network shops. Support DAT Ramp Planning / New Shop on-boarding planning.

  • Provide status / updates at MRO production / Escalation / SAIPT / and other meetings. Prepare and present metrics and support monthly aftermarket management meetings.

  • Interface with internal engineering organizations (CTS, SAIPT, CIPT, ASE, and other Discipline Managers), as well as internal and external aftermarket organizations (AMO, worldwide MRO shops) to expedite resolution of MRO hardware and build issues.

  • Develop an efficient process for planning, tracking, and closing ENC’s to support MRO TAT. Identify systemic issues, drive continuous improvement activities and robust root cause investigations to ensure CTS and P&W continue to deliver world class customer and shareholder value.

  • 10% Travel is anticipated.

​Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • 12+ years of Project Engineering experience or 10+ years with an advanced degree

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple tasks concurrently.
