Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Acoustics Analyst Engineers reporting to noise, vibration & emissions team leadership and will be working out of the Everett, Washington office. As an Acoustics Analyst engineer, you will be working on items that directly impact communities around airports and passengers of commercial airplanes around the world.

We are recruiting energetic and innovative engineers to join our Flight Sciences team.

Flight Sciences is at the very heart of airplane-level design, integration and support. We work at every phase of the airplane lifecycle, from the initial concept to fleet support. We define requirements, do detailed design, analyze configurations, integrate across many disciplines, certify aircraft and provide fleet support for all Boeing commercial airplanes. Flight Sciences is composed of areas such as aerodynamics, noise, vibration, emissions, stability and control, weights, static and dynamic loads.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts acoustic and vibroacoustic analysis of new and derivative flight vehicles.
  • Designs and validates noise control technologies
  • Designs and conducts acoustic and vibroacoustic tests
  • Demonstrates airplane compliance with applicable federal regulations
  • Demonstrates compliance with customer requirements, data of flight/launch vehicles
  • Ability to work with multiple team functions

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2 years of experience in Engineering
  • Minor in Computer Science
  • Knowledge of aeroacoustics, structural acoustics, or vibration engineering
  • Experience in aerospace, Mechanical or electrical Engineering

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range: $83,300 - $112,700
