In support of the P&W Commercial Engine Programs Aftermarket team, a Component Aftermarket Integrated Product Team (CAIPT) Leader drives Aftermarket activity focusing on reducing cost, improving time on wing, and improving turn-around time (TAT) in the overhaul repair shops for our managed commercial engine fleets. Specifically, this job supports Geared Turbofan (GTF) Aftermarket activity for the PW1100G-JM program and the varied internal and external customers therein.
The CAIPT Leader is an Aftermarket & Sustainability Engineering (ASE) employee, as a co-located member of the Module Center Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) Leadership Team driving execution of Aftermarket support strategy. This position will provide direct support within the CIPT for all Aftermarket aspects, including Fleet management, overhaul planning, Spares planning, Safety Risk Assessments, Engine Manual maturity, and many other aspects of Commercial Aftermarket.
Key Responsibilities:

Establish and execute aftermarket support strategy inclusive of module. configuration, spares constraints, contract cost, and work scope changes.

Identifying, documenting, and assessing risks for mitigation actions and reporting into the Program Office;

Drive alignment between program requirements and aftermarket strategy.

Establish and Manage part/component/module maintenance plans.
-
Drive prioritization of actions to material need, contract cost, and shop TAT.

Support detailed part gap analysis ensuring long term supportability of customer/work scope/PCIR changes.

Ensure part strategy address top technical issues with both design, limits, and repair strategy.

Drive reparability lesson learning into new part redesign.

Drive a cohesive /harmonized approach between CIPT, Aftermarket Operations, Engine Services, Transactional Aftermarket, Customer Technical Support, ASE, and the Program Office.

Develop rapid response to immediate program needs including targeted work scopes. Aid CIPT to develop reaction plans to new distress modes, part delivery shortfalls, workscope changes, or other disruption;

Incorporate learning from events into long term supportability picture ensuring updated spares/repair/cost forecasting.
Basic Qualifications:
-
B.S. in a Technical Field
-
12+ years' experience in engineering, program management, customer service, aftermarket, or operations with a bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in engineering, program management, customer service, aftermarket or operations with an Advanced degree.

3+ years of experience as a team leader and coach who can work within a multi-discipline team environment.

US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
-
Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and management.
-
Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships.

Project engineering experience and/or team leadership experience.
-
Cost and schedule management experience.
-
Results-oriented with good problem-solving skills.

Overhaul/repair shop experience is a plus.

Possess excellent judgment and professional maturity.

Analytical skills.

Participation in process improvement efforts.
