SECURITY CLEARANCE: Involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicants to be UK Nationals Only (No Dual Nationals) and able to be security cleared to a UK Eyes Only SC

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join Airbus Defence & Space at our lively site here in Newport.  This is a new opportunity for a Software Engineer to work with our expanding support team. We are open to varying levels of experience. Those with more seniority may be given mentorship or leadership opportunities, whilst those with less will be able to receive mentoring from our more highly-experienced experts.

Each day will be different, as you develop software and fix bugs through a full development lifecycle, whilst also responding to different customer queries and issues on multiple products.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM 

  • Supporting Airbus Cyber Security’s cryptographic products protecting critically sensitive National and Commercial information
  • Developing Software and addressing customer reported issues
  • Working with the team to reproduce and diagnose issues in a system reference model
  • Updating tickets and ensuring customers

ABOUT YOU

  • Adaptable and work well under pressure
  • Keen to learn and be involved in multiple disciplines
  • Knowledge of C/C++/C#/Python, Networking, Cyber Security
