The Collins Aerospace Business Aviation Services (BAS) Global Customer Experience organization is looking for an experienced and broadly developed professional with strong technical writing skills and extensive knowledge of flight deck connectivity datalink services to join our diverse team. You will be part of a larger aircraft connectivity support team, but we do expect that you will work independently and with limited oversight. This role is located at the Annapolis, MD office with the occasional travel for in-person customer engagement. 

This role will also support the larger business by analyzing metrics and designing reports to help drive critical business decisions. In this capacity, you will be working with and submitting reports to relevant business and product leaders based on several factors surrounding the support of the business and its customers.

This role is eligible for relocation.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and directing all work aspects of the Airline Modifiable Interface (AMI/AOC) software to include development, procurement and media creation, purchasing, shipping, Import/Export classification and storage in coordination with OEMs, vendors, customers, product, and engineering teams. 
  • Technical documentation library management, document creation, classification, and storage.
  •  ServiceNow or other work ticketing tool case creation, management, and reporting.
  • Customer/Vendor Online Portal management of software, documents, and site updates.
  • Business unit quality statistics analyzation and reporting.
  • Other related projects as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications: 

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • Flight deck connectivity products experience: including Data Management Unit 
  • (DMU) configuration procedures and/or flight deck Flight Management System (FMS) functionality. 
  • Business aviation industry experience: aircraft OEM airframes and knowledge of current equipment utilized for aircraft communications (SATCOM, VHF, DATALINK).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects using current tools to meet deadlines. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Business aviation experience and/or knowledge of VHF and satellite networks such as Iridium, Inmarsat, and Viasat are highly desired.
  • Strong technical written and professional verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions.
  • Experience working across a highly matrixed organization, connecting multiple functional teams. 
  • General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process, and information flow.
