AIRCRAFT TRADESPERSON

We are currently recruiting for qualified (Level 4) tradespeople with background in aviation, mechanical engineering, automotive, or similar for a permanent full-time position. This is perfect for someone who can work in defined processes, is quality and safety oriented, pays close attention to detail, and is willing to learn. You will receive a full training and comprehensive onboarding.  

Your Role

  • After completing your induction training and depending on your trade qualification/background you will work at a designated workstation within our workshop consisting of the areas Disassembly, Repair and Assembly, each requiring specialised skills and experience.
  • Completing repair, modification, or overhaul work under the instruction of Production Leaders and Lead Hands
  • Using our computer system to document and record your work 
  • Ensuring that your work meets all health and safety requirements
  • This is a safety sensitive role and all candidates will go through a medical assessment and drug & alcohol testing.

Your Profile

  • Be Trade Qualified – NZQA Level 4 is a must. Please provide a copy of your relevant qualifications.
  • Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. This is a locally recruited position.
  • Have solid work experience in similar environment, such as aviation, automotive, mechanical engineering, heavy diesel mechanic or related
  • Be experienced in working in processes and following instructions
  • Strong hand skills
  • Good computer literacy, experience with SAP is an advantage
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills
  • Be a confident, effective communicator and a strong team player
  • Be passionate about your work and always strive for the best and take pride in your work
  • Be able to comply with a strong safety and quality culture
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • Able to work in physical tasks, such as but not limited to: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, and twisting.

HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position (40 h / week). We work in a fortnightly rotating shift pattern: A week of day shift followed by a week evening shift.
