As a Raytheon Australia Aircraft Technician Apprentice, you will be employed in the Raytheon Australia Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM) facility, undertaking workshop maintenance activities on Mechanical equipment as fitted to the RAAF’s F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft, which are based at RAAF Base Amberley.
The work on these components is in support of Raytheon Australia’s Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP) and is crucial for the operational capability of the RAAF’s frontline combat aircraft.
The role will be based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD 4306.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Undertake training requirements and maintain Apprenticeship progression and Journal currency as directed, to successfully complete a Certificate IV in Aeroskills
- Provide assistance and perform maintenance tasks as directed, to facilitate aeronautical component production within the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Technical airworthiness guidelines.
- Ensuring Technical and Quality Regulatory compliance is conducted to meet Defence Aviation Safety Regulations and ISO certifications.
- Ensure all EHS requirements are followed and maintained to meet Company and EHS regulatory obligations.
Skills, Experiences and Qualifications for the role:
- Must have successfully completed all theory training requirements of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) delivered by a recognised training provider.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance (Negative Vetting 1 level).
- Genuine interest and passion for the role
