Job Summary:

The Commercial Engines Aftermarket Operations Organization (AMO) is a global network of component repair & Disassembly, Assembly & Test (DAT) engine centers all of which are undergoing a significant and unprecedented production ramp in the next several years. As such, capacity, progressive technology insertion, efficient business processes are pillars that are and will continue to undergo a transformation program. These projects also include but not limited to capital insertion & automation, digital solutions, lean process improvements, and other enablers that will continue to improve our business productivity and efficiencies.

This high-profile role will oversee the AMO transformation program which includes interfacing with all AMO sits globally, and collaborating with operations and transformation leaders to project manage and ensure any support is provided for timely execution, and prioritization where there are conflicts in funding and/or resources.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the AMO transformation program to meet project execution timelines, and operating margin targets set for each year across the North America and Asia Pacific regions.

  • Interface with site General Managers and Transformation Leaders to identify and address risks impeding timely project execution.

  • Coordinate with interdependency support functions such as Engineering, Finance, Digital Technology to help build annual resource planning, funding, and effective prioritization.

  • Participate as AMO’s sub-workstream leader in the broader manufacturing workstream and co-lead any strategic initiatives with aftermarket operations implications.

  • Partner with AMO finance to ensure close alignment between transformation financials and Long-Range Plan, investments and Operating Margin forecast vs. actuals.

  • Travel is required 20-25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration or relevant field of study and 12+ years of experience in engineering, operations, supply chain within manufacturing or aerospace industry or an Advanced Degree and 10+ years of experience in engineering, operations, supply chain within manufacturing or aerospace industry.

  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a heavily matrixed organization across various global regions.

  • Project management experience leading cross functional teams and leading through influence and strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • OEM or Aftermarket site operations experience preferred.

  • MS Office products with proficiency in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to senior executives. Ability to work with senior executives, and to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Solid analytical skills demonstrated organizational skills. Ability to apply CORE principles to support continuous improvement.

  • Examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates and demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
