WHAT TO EXPECT

 

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our Assisted and Automated Driving (AAD) team. In this crucial role, you will spearhead the testing and validation efforts for our cutting-edge AAD systems at the vehicle level. Your responsibilities will include designing, executing, and reporting on comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our AAD features in real-world driving conditions.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

  • Lead the development and implementation of robust test strategy, test cases, and test strategies for AAD systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and translate them into executable test scenarios.
  • Design and conduct vehicle-level testing activities for a wide range of AAD features.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and operation of data acquisition tools, logging equipment, and other testing instruments in vehicles.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret test data from various sources.
  • Documenting test results, identified issues, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and promoting best practices in vehicle-based testing.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on vehicle-based testing and validation of automotive systems, preferably in the ADAS or AD domains.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle architecture, embedded systems, and automotive software development processes.
  • Proficiency in data acquisition tools and data analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Valid driving license with a clean driving record.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISTQB Foundation or equivalent software testing certification.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 29119, ASPICE, MISRA).
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and testing practices.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and requirements management tools.
  • Certification or experience in conducting testing on proving grounds or closed-course environments.
  • Knowledge of instrument calibration processes.
  • Experience with automotive logging tools
  • Proficient in the use and application of a programming / scripting language (C/C++, python, Java, or similar)
