Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) - Let’s introduce ourselves

You will be part of the Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) team, where we strive for smart and nimble finance processes by analyzing financials to support the business in the best way. We are now looking for an Accountant with business acumen to join our Order-to-Cash (OTC) team to be based in Madrid (metro Cuzco). The OTC team is responsible for the traditional and online business currently rolled out over several European countries.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will be the interface and the point of contact between the Business Process Outsourcing delivery team and the Care by Volvo organization. You will be following up on inquires and perform timely escalation to applicable parties for swift resolution.

Perform judgement-based issue resolution of inquires relating to in-scope OTC process such as (but not limited to):

• Processing of customer credit

• Monitor Invoicing processes

• Processing of deductions, returns, discounts o Application and allocation incoming payments

• Analysis of overdue invoices and performing dunning

• Management of customer inquiries & reclamations

• OTC closing activities

You will have the opportunity to manage project in specific areas. Furthermore, in this role you will be monitoring rule-based activities performed by a Shared Service Center (SSC).

You will be securing correct accounting principles and compliance with national and international laws and regulations. The main purpose of the accountant role is to coordinate, execute, implement, and harmonize OTC processes and procedures within the Volvo Cars Group.

What you’ll bring

You have a university degree in Finance or equivalent with minimum 2-3 years working experience in Accounting. You are knowledgeable in Finance processes and policies and you can apply these to your full ability in your daily work. You work effectively in global teams and you have experience in executing global processes locally and globally.

Ideally you have experience working with any of the following tools and technologies: Excel, SAP (ECC and S4 HANA), Salesforce, Blackline Reconciliation System, Power BI and a Subscription Manager Fleet System. It would be highly beneficial if you have specialized work expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Fleet processes.You are eager to learn, customer oriented, proactive and have a great attention to detail. You are fluent in English both verbally and written, additional language skills are advantageous.
