This position is for an intern who will be entering their sophomore year by the start of summer 2024.

Job Summary:
This 10-12 week internship program is designed to empower growth by exploring the dynamic nature of the defense industry throughout Raytheon Operations & Supply Chain (OSC). Your summer will be focused in one of many disciplines within OSC, while simultaneously working a summer capstone project which will be presented to leadership to end your summer. Throughout the summer, you will be able to expand your knowledge of OSC as a whole while also gaining unprecedented exposure to leadership along the way.
Throughout this experience you’ll have opportunities to meet with other rotational program participants, engage with senior leaders on topics of innovation, leadership and technology, and connect through an individual mentorship program. Our ultimate goal is to bring great talent to Raytheon. All rising senior or MBA interns will have the opportunity to be considered for a full-time role or part time work as you continue your studies.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Design, control, and improve the Operations Engineering process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team

Improve cycle time and lead time
-
Identify throughput constraints by performing capacity, simulation, what-if scenario analysis.

Identify and participate in improvement projects to support constraint elimination.

Apply Six Sigma and Lean Principles to include the use of value stream maps, line balancing, and error proofing.

Support objectives for cost, quality, on time delivery and safety.

Collaborate with other interns in a Capstone Project
This position can be a sophomore, junior, senior or post-grad based on the candidate’s qualifications and standing as outlined below:

Sophomore Technical Intern - must have completed 30 credit hours by start of internship

Junior Technical Intern - must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship

Senior Technical Intern - must have completed 90 credit hours of college by start of internship

Post-Graduate Technical Intern - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

Basic Qualifications:

Must be at least a sophomore by Summer 2024, enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM)

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
