Job Summary:
The Integrated Solutions Modeling and Architecture (ISMA) directorate is composed of an energetic multi-disciplinary team of over 300 engineers working collaboratively with internal and external customers and programs to provide mission level modeling & simulation of sensing & effects capabilities from seabed to space, multi-level operation analysis, integrated system of system architectures and operations research. We are in the front end of the business pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity to establish next-generation mission solutions from system-level up to campaign-level.
Within the ISMA Directorate, the Air-Power Mission Analysis group performs operations research and analysis to drive system requirements so that Raytheon’s products support the warfare to their fullest extent. We perform complex analysis at the mission level to capture measures of effectiveness that are most important to the warfighter.
As an Intern:
- You will contribute your knowledge of performance engineering practices, and procedures, to evaluate work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems.
- You will support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from the program or team experts, and work on diverse projects, determining and developing approaches and solutions.
- You will provide development support throughout the product lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be in Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate standing level by the start of Summer 2024
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specific majors: Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Math, Applied Math, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Aerospace or related scientific or STEM discipline.
- Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Knowledge of data analysis, operations analysis, and statistics especially dealing with large volumes of data.
- Knowledge of Unix or Linux computing environments.
- Knowledge of AFSIM, ESAMS, MATLAB, C++ and Python
- Knowledge of the system engineering life-cycle model
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD-76,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
