Job Summary:
The Airborne Radar Electronics designs and develops electronics for RF and Digital sensors. The Department provides engineering, technology development, and manufacturing support for an extensive line of airborne, and ground systems.
This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
As an RF Antenna Electrical Engineer, you may be involved with any of the following activities:

Development of antenna or radome hardware and requirements.
-
Antenna modeling and simulation execution on workstations and high performance computing resources (HPC).
-
Interpret simulation or measurement test data to verify performance to requirements.
-
Circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation maintenance, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting, and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test, and verification.
-
Develop solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.
-
Working with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems etc.
-
Working with antenna manufacturing suppliers.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree.
-
Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and/or GRASP.
-
Experience in testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
-
Experience working in a lab environment with standard EE lab equipment (i.e,. Vector Network Analyzers, Power Meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, and signal sources).
-
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
-
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
-
Solid background and practical understanding of designing antenna systems (to include experience or relevant course work).
-
Model generation and simulation experience with conformal antennas (to include experience or relevant course work).
-
Proficiency with LabVIEW, Python, MATAB and/or other high level scientific programming languages
-
Proficiency with high performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers such as SLURM
-
Able to travel.

Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders.

Experience with MS Office tool suite.
-
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.

Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.

Location:
The salary range for this role is 57,000 USD - 107,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
