Job Summary:
This is your opportunity to join the Receiver, Exciter & Back-End Processing (REBP) department as a Software Development Engineer. The team’s primary goal is to design, architect, and implement Digital Signal Processing and Radar Control algorithms on a variety of high-performance platforms.
This position is an onsite role.
This position is available starting in May 2024 or later. Selected candidates must be available, and have met all offer contingencies, to begin working with an expected start date ranging from May 2024 through October 2024.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
As a Software Engineer, you may be involved with any of the following activities:

Develop C/C++ radar software running on an Embedded Processor or in a Linux environment.
-
Maintain legacy embedded software systems.
-
Work with systems, hardware, and software engineers to understand end-user requirements and apply implementation on new and established processing platforms.

Develop robust, scalable, performance driven software to be deployed on large scale computing systems.
-
Improve code quality by supporting software integration, verification and performing code reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.

C/C++ software development experience, preferably in Embedded/Linux environment.
-
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.

Experience developing C/C++ Embedded Systems
-
Digital Signal Processing/Radar domain knowledge
-
Working understanding of parallelism and concurrency as applied to algorithm implementation on shared memory and distributed systems.

Familiarity with hardware
-
Able to understand interactions between multiple sub-systems in a radar.

Experience in Software Tools: Git, ClearCase, CMake, GoogleTest, debugger, profiler, Jenkins

Continuous integration and test experience in a hardware/software laboratory environment

High degree of creativity and ability to solve a wide range of difficult problems.

Ability to work independently and in a team.
