Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world's most advanced commercial and military turbine engines, is seeking a highly motivated Staff Technician to join the Additive Manufacturing Lab Team in the Core Manufacturing Engineering organization. The Staff Technician position has a broad range of responsibilities related to the operation, set-up and maintenance of the Additive Manufacturing Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation, startup, operation, monitoring and shutdown of various Additive Manufacturing machines for the powder bed fusion, material jetting and material extrusion processes and post processing of additively built parts
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure project goals and delivery dates are met
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance
- Input customer orders into database
- Analyze and review models for new orders to determine printability and repair errors as needed
- Provide communication to customers on order status
- Package and ship completed orders
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post
high school training) with minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year hands-on experience with additive manufacturing equipment
- 1 year hands-on experience using various hand & industrial tools, machine tools and inspection equipment.
- 3 months experience with Materialize Magics
- 1 year experience with CAD packages
- 1year experience with Microsoft Office
Additional Information:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
