Tooling & Robotics Engineer

Job Description:

A position for a Tooling & Robotics Engineer has arisen within AIRBUS Comercial in Spain.

TOOLING & ROBOTICS is an organization of manufacturing engineers in Getafe Plant leading the end to end (E2E) implementation of new industrial means (Jigs, Tools, and Automation &
Robotics).

As a member of this team, you will participate in the industrialization of
Aircraft Components (Fuselage & Empennage) with the accountability of delivering the
industrial means on time, cost & quality.

Accountabilities:

  • To manage and lead the E2E activities for the industrialization of new industrial means, following the processes FU.IN.03.02 (Develop and Realize Jigs & Tools), FU.IN.03.03 (Specify and Qualify Machines and Systems) and FU.IN.03.06 (Implement Measurement Systems) and their relation to linked processes.

  • To be technical responsible for the solution implemented ensuring stakeholder’s needs are fulfilled considering inputs from different departments such as Manufacturing Engineering, Production, H&S, Ergonomics, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Transports and handling, etc.

  • Support maintenance and production departments with technical expertise to ensure the reliability of the means.

  • To deliver safe (safety first), ergonomic and smart maintainable means to production focus on I4.0

  • To support all the program activities for the industrial means parts includingmaster and detailed planning, proposals, CapEx, budgets, etc.

Tasks:

  • To define concepts and modifications to fulfill all the requirements from all related functions, assuring rates, usage, maintainability, and quality capabilities.

  • Use of CAD to create concepts, analysis for GD&T to ensure correct functionalities.

  • To create technical specifications for different industrial means ranging from simple tools to complex autonomous systems

  • To lead call for tenders managing, evaluating and selecting suppliers technically speaking.

  • To manage the different milestones of the means acquisition (KOM, PDR, CDR, CISS, CIPS and FA) according to customer’s and stakeholder’s needs.

  • Assure the delivery of the industrial means in time, cost and quality.

  • To manage suppliers to ensure OT, OQ, OC delivery of the assets. Steer trouble shooting, failure analysis and analytical thinking when required.

  • To give shop floor support on the first uses of the delivered means.

  • To setup and commission new manufacturing/assembly stations

  • Attend concurrence engineering meetings to assure feasibility of industrialization and minimize its cost.

Requieremnts:

  • Accademic background: industrial engineering

  • Between 5-10 year of profesional experiencie in Industrial positions, at least 3 years of experiencie in Tooling/Robotics.

  • Experience in the aeronautical sector will be highly recommended.

  • Negotiation leven of English and Spanish
