Team Leader Integration Manager (d/f/m)

For Airbus Defence and Space in Manching, Germany, we are looking for a Team Leader for the Integration Management (IM) team. The successful candidate will join the department TEYXP – “Projects and Architecture Integration” within the Weapon Systems CoC and will lead the IM team, which has the mission to manage and control the execution of project work packages inside the CoC, in line with the requirements from the individual programme organisations and acts as main interface between the CoC and the Chief Engineers of the Weapon System development and upgrade programs.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  •  Lead a team of Integration Managers in line with the Airbus  leadership model

  • Develop the team, ensuring the staff is properly trained for the job and establishing appropriate learning objectives. Coach the team members as needed.

  • Responsible for the resource capacity planning of the team and execution through appropriate qualified resources.

  • Create job descriptions and lead the hiring process with full support of Human Resources.

  • Responsible for the team to achieve the operational targets 

  • Responsible with the team to lead the CoC preparation of offers to the Chief Engineering and Program during the Bid Phase 

  • Leads the Operative Planning (OP), the Workload Planning and EAC within the CoC and ensure OP and Budget adherence

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent

  • Experience in Project Management and Work Package Management – PMP would be an advantage

  • Experience in integration management, systems engineering or architectural design

  • Experience with the avionics development process DO-254 and DO-178c

  • Able to lead and to motivate people across programs, disciplines and functions. 

  • Experience in managing people 

  • Strong organizational and management skills

  • Must be an excellent communicator with strong negotiation skills
