Tax Litigation Manager

Job DescriptionHybrid: for this position is required to be on site 3x/week

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified professional to take on the role of Tax Litigation Manager in our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing tax litigation, with special emphasis on social security issues and indirect taxes, demonstrating the ability for critical legal and financial analysis, deep knowledge of corporate litigation, global reporting, team leadership, and excellent communication skills.

What you will do (responsabilities):

  • Effective leadership of teams and coordination of the tax litigation team.

  • Preparation and revision of reports and global reports, technical opinions, and tax opinions.

  • Identification of opportunities and technical support to internal clients.

  • Preparation and review of administrative defenses/appeals, especially in social security matters. Experience in Social Security matters is mandatory.

  • Analysis of tax risks and fiscal exposures, focusing on the identification and mitigation of liabilities and tax opportunities.

  • Conducting inquiries to the Tax Authority and negotiation of special regimes.

  • Monitoring of inspections and support for internal and external audits.

  • Recovery of tax credits, including large-scale projects with proven results.

  • Monitoring legislation, theses, and jurisprudence to identify opportunities and risks.

Your skills and abilities (required qualifications)::

  • Proven experience in team leadership and management of tax projects and litigation for a multinational company, Big Four Company, and Law Firm.

  • Solid knowledge of tax legislation, especially in social security matters.

  • Experience in tax consulting, administrative and judicial litigation.

  • Proven ability to conduct tax credit recovery processes.

  • Capacity for critical analysis and strategic decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Degree in Law.

  • Active OAB

  • Postgraduate degree or specialization in Tax Law desirable.
