Job Description:
Tasks, role & responsibilities:
● Sizing of aircraft components, parts and assemblies (e.g. airframes, transmissions and rotors)
● Structural analysis during design, definition, development and modification phases
● Trade off analysis for different design solutions
● Linear and nonlinear structure analysis with the Finite Element Method (FEM)
● Analysis and evaluation of structural strength, stability, damage tolerance and fatigue
● Providing technical documentation and presenting results to the team
Required qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
● Experience in structural/dynamic analysis
● Experience in FEM tools (preferably HyperWorks/Simcenter and Nastran/Samcef)
● Standard stress methods knowledge
● Metallic and composite materials knowledge
● Proficiency in CAD is a plus
● Programming skills will be an advantage
● Strong problem-solving and communication skills
● Good team spirit, autonomy, engaged
● Very good command of English (B2 level or higher)
● German or French will be an advantage
