Your tasks:
• Good localization and mapping are essential to obtain the necessary information about the current position and future course of autonomous vehicles.We are looking for a passionate, experienced engineer with a background in localization and mapping techniques, or with radar signal processing or newer machine learning methods. The candidate will develop methods to localize autonomous vehicles using camera and radar sensors, but also generate features to create maps suitable for re-localization.
• Are you an experienced engineer with a good background who is passionate about what they do and wants to offer competitive solutions?Are you up to date with the literature and know and understand the latest trends?
• Do you understand the core idea behind concepts and formulas and are you able to transfer these core ideas to new areas? Do you have the ability and understanding to combine architecture and algorithmic elements to create new but competitive solutions according to the requirements? Do you have a hands-on attitude, good communication and self-organization skills?

Your background:
• Master's or PhD in science, technology, physics, engineering and mathematics or a related field
• Excellent analytical skills and a good mathematical background with a deep mathematical understanding
• Fluent programming skills and experience in programming with a modern programming language such as C/C++, Cuda, Python
• Experience with software development in a large team
• Professional experience over 10 years and good experience in at least one of the points
• SLAM or structure from motion methods
• Modern radar signal processing methods
• Machine learning & deep learning
