Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance (AD) Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) is seeking a dynamic Specialty Systems Engineering Manager to lead a team of Reliability, Maintainability & Systems Health (RM&SH) engineers executing technical work scope on AD programs in Berkeley, MO. This position will be assigned to and report to the Systems Engineering and Specialty Engineering Leader for the BDS Air Dominance SEIT Capability.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of RM&SH (including On Board Health Management and Carrier Suitability).
  • Develops and deploys effective and efficient analysis tools and processes to support engineers and the development process.
  • Identifies and leads process improvements.
  • Applies Engineering Best Practices to ensure delivery of first-time quality for engineering data.
  • Develops and presents trade studies and support documentation on a variety of topics, both technical and administrative.
  • Regularly interfaces to Program Management, Program Chief Engineer, Program Integration Office (PIO), Program Teams, and Program Customers.
  • Performs Cost Account Management (CAM) manager duties.
  • Monitors appropriate metrics to ensure performance to plan.
  • Acquires, develops, deploys, and schedules personnel to meet project and operational objectives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience providing technical leadership for an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering field.
  • Master’s degree in any engineering field; Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree highly preferred.
