Position Overview

The Solution Engineer (SE) will lead all technical aspects of an Autodesk sales campaign by supporting the partners and Internal Sales teams with direct engagement with end-users. The Solution Engineer (SE) uses in-depth Manufacturing industry knowledge and Design, Manufacturing & Data Management software knowledge to uncover customer business issues and suggest improvements, thus earning status as a trusted advisor to the customer. He/ She will partner with multiple internal Sales teams, Technical Solutions Executives (TechSE) and our authorised partners teams to provide pre-sales technical assistance such as Presentations, Demos & Proof of Concepts. You will report to the Technical Sales Manager (Design & Manufacturing) and will be based in New Delhi, India. We provide a Hybrid workplace and you will travel for customer engagements and Autodesk sponsored events.

Responsibilities

  • You will Advise customers based on in-depth understanding of their business processes and knowledge of our technology and solution portfolio

  • You will Deliver technical demonstrations, responds to commercial proposals, assesses feasibility, and suitability of proposed solutions

  • You will Contribute to requirement definitions, scope documents, user needs studies, process, and project assessments for assigned sales opportunities

  • You will Maintain a comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of the current technologies of your domain, and insight into the industry best practices, business processes, and offerings

  • You will Develop technical content/sales presentations for use in presales activities leading to addressing desired customer outcomes

  • You will Collaborate with our Account and Territory Teams including Mid-Market Account Sales Executives, Territory Sales Representatives, Product Specialists, Customer Success Specialists and Channel Managers

  • You will Track sales activities and Tech engagements through Salesforce to gather insights to plan

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.Tech (Mechanical) or equivalent

  • At least 6+ years of experience working in the Industrial Machinery, Heavy Equipment, Automotive / Diverse Engineering organisations / Large Engineering Service Providers in the Manufacturing domain

  • Experience in Technical Sales and in a customer-facing role for at least 4 years

  • Hands-on experience using Autodesk Design and Data Management solutions such as Inventor, Vault, Fusion

  • Hands-on experience using Autodesk Simulation, CAM and Factory layout solutions

  • Experience working with 3D CAD software like SolidWorks, Siemens NX and PTC/CREO
