Position Summary

The Software Architect is a key role for delivery of future generations of Infotainment products for our customers – car and trucks manufacturers. You will be responsible for defining and documenting software architecture in our projects complying with automotive quality standards, leading software design activities in development teams, supporting planning activities, resolution of complex technical topics and developing concepts for new products. You will be part of our Global Engineering Services organization.

Your Role

  • Owning end to end high complex problem resolution

  • Lead the software architecture planning, design and implementation activities

  • Analyze project requirements to derive software architecture requirements

  • Define non-functional software requirements, support definition of functional requirements

  • Design and document high-level Software Architecture of a product

  • Allocate functionality to components and define software interfaces between components

  • Incorporate requirements traceability into the software architecture

  • Develop documentation to comply with automotive quality standards

  • Interface with customer and suppliers on technical level

  • Drive activities to optimize system performance

  • Support teams in resolving complex issues

  • Support project planning

Your Background

  • Minimum 8 years of experience developing highly scalable multi-threaded software, preferably for embedded systems

  • Experience in similar position (architect, senior developer) or proven track of record defining and documenting software architecture for complex systems

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in directing technical activities and documenting technical issues

  • Experience with formal UML architectural design tools such as Enterprise Architect

  • Strong analytical capabilities for identifying and resolving engineering tradeoffs

  • Familiarity with requirements analysis process and tools

  • Experience with system profiling and software static analysis tools

  • Functional safety experience as a plus
