Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Software Architect in Post-quantum systems (d/f/m) for Cloud applications
As a successful candidate, you will become a valuable member of the End-to-End Communications engineering organization, where you will play a crucial role in designing, delivering, and developing high secure connectivity systems that ensure the protection and required crypto-agility so as to adapt to the current and future security challenges. In addition, you will be contributing in the development of essential building blocks used across various business units within Airbus.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual with a proven track record in post-quantum cryptography and its integration to applications, secure protocols and systems. It is required strong software development experience for different platforms, HW/SW codesign experience, knowhow of different secure systems. It is required Strong expertise in communication protocols and systems. It includes MAC-Layer protocols implementation, PHY-Layer control in C/C++ for different waveforms. Testing, integration and documentation of features are part of the role.

Your tasks and responsibilities
-
Design and develop building blocks for the post-quantum secure communication and systems
-
Design, develop and test HW/SW moduels that support the crypto-agility of aerospace systems
-
Implement and verify user and system requirements for simulating complex systems

Participate in demonstrators empowered with post-quantum secure capabilities
-
Participate in meetings with customers and stakeholders, present study results to clients, and represent the team professionally

Collaborate effectively with other specialist departments, experts/senior experts, and external project partners
Desired skills and qualifications

A degree in electrical engineering or similar

Professional Experience 3-5years
-
Proficiency in programming languages and operating systems, such as C, C++, Python, Windows, Linux

Proficiency in VHDL and other hardware description languages

Good knowledge of Cybersecurity standard practices and communication protocols.

Experience in software development for Protocols

Knowledge or experience in Post-quantum cryptography and secure implementations in software and hardware

Knowledge of system integration processes

IT literacy, including proficiency with MS Office applications

Ability to adapt to rapidly changing daily activities and priorities

Strong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and demanding environmen

Excellent command of written and spoken German and English
